Sign up to volunteer at the Canada Day Summer Festival or to be part of the Canada Day Parade! Choose one or more (can sign up for more than one shift!) of the serving opportunities below and help make the day a success!
Canada Day Parade Team - This team will participate in Airdrie's annual Canada Day Parade representing our church and our heart for the City of Airdrie.
- Guidelines: Walking the entire parade route, being in the outdoor weather for 3+ hours, having high energy and engaging with parade attendees. Please note - we are only having a TRUCK this year with no trailer, so you will be walking the entire time. However, the parade route is shorter due to Main Street construction. Route: Main Street Airdrie: Jensen --> Main Street --> Centre Avenue --> Allen Street
Muscle Team – As part of the Muscle Team, you are responsible for assisting either with the setup or takedown of serving tables, dining tables, chairs, event tents and required event stations.
Food Prep Team – Responsibilities include preparing food and drink items in serving dishes before and during the event.
Cooks – As part of the cooking team, you have the integral role of barbecuing hotdogs.
Food Servers – Responsible for serving food at the food tables.
Running Team - The Running team works closely with the food team to ensure that juice & water containers are refilled, condiments are restocked, food items are stocked and tables are wiped. Note: some lifting may be required.
Connections Team - Our Connections Team is primarily responsible for engaging with those attending the event. This team will interact with the Community at our Kingdom City Info Tent.
Games & Bouncy House Team – This team is responsible for supervising the bouncy houses and large game activities on site. Teams will be in rotation with break periods. (Youth/Children under the age of 18 should have a family member/parent serving alongside).

Security Team - Through presence, help create a safe and welcoming environment for everyone attending by patrolling event grounds and building.
